6695 running past Swanage shed, 29 May 2006. This GWR “Taffy Tank” was built in 1928 by Armstrong Whitworth of Newcastle for use on passenger and goods trains in the South Wales valleys. It was rescued from Barry scrapyard in 1968. Restoration work by the 6695 Group started in 1996, and the loco returned to traffic this year.
