Ex LMS “Jinty” 0-6-0T no.47493 in the yard at Tunbridge Wells West, 29 May 2005. This engine was built in 1927 by the Vulcan Foundry and was withdrawn for scrap in 1967. Rescued from Barry scrapyard in 1972, it returned to steam on the East Somerset Railway in 1976 and moved to the Spa Valley in 2000, where it received a major overhaul before returning to traffic in 2004.
