The South Devon Railway operates almost 7 miles of the former GWR Totnes to Ashburton branch between Totnes (Littlehempston) and Buckfastleigh, the remaining section to Ashburton being obliterated by the A38 road. The line closed to passengers in 1958 and to goods in 1962, and was re-opened in 1969 as the Dart Valley Railway. Click on the links below to see the pictures.. |
