The Paignton and Dartmouth Railway in South Devon runs over the former Great Western line from Paignton to Kingswear where it connects with the Dartmouth ferry. The line was closed by BR in 1972, and I remember travelling on it in its last year of BR operation. Although the railway seems to be aimed at holidaymakers rather than railway enthusiasts, it has in my opinion some of the best photographic locations in the country.
