3802 running round at Llangollen, 17 Apr 2006. 3802 was built at Swindon in 1938 for heavy freight work, was scrapped in 1965 and returned to steam at Llangollen in November 2005. Based on Churchward’s 28xx class 2-8-0 design of 1903, this later Collett version had a larger cab and outside steam pipes to the cylinders.
