Axe at Woody Bay, 3 Aug 2009. This is a “Joffre” class 0-6-0T built by Kerr Stuart of Stoke on Trent in 1915 for service on the Western Front. Axe is owned by the L&B Trust and returned to service in March 2009. It is dedicated to those who served on the railways of the Western Front in the Great War.
