“Curly roof” brake van no.1, rebuilt in 2004 at Boston Lodge works. Three of these were originally supplied to the Ffestiniog in the 1870s, and as well as the usual accommodation for the guard and passenger’s luggage also had a compartment for dogs. Photographed at Minffordd, 30 Apr 2005.
