0-6-0 well tank Bellerophon at Caverswall road, 19 July 2008. Built in 1874 by the Haydock Foundry for use at the Haydock Collieries, Bellerophon worked for 90 years until withdrawal by the National Coal Board in 1964. Now owned by the Vintage Carriages Trust, it is on loan to the Foxfield Railway, where it has undergone a full overhaul and returned to service in time for the steam gala.
