No.701 waiting at Brownhills West, 9 Sep 2006. Brownhills West is the railway’s headquarters and is a new development, the original station having been obliterated by the M6 toll road. The line through here was originally an extension of the Midland Railway Aldridge to Brownhills branch which terminated at the colliery exchange sidings.
