This locomotive was built in 1929 by Andrew Barclay of Kilmarnock, [works no.1964], and worked all its life at Trafford Park, Manchester, where it carried the name CPC United Kingdom. In preservation it has worked at the Foxfield, East Kent and Cholsey & Wallingford lines carrying the name Spitfire.
